Body

Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ) Caloundra has a proud history of helping keep the local boating community safe on the water.
Formerly Coast Guard Caloundra QF4, the unit has served the Caloundra community for more than 50 years, with generations of volunteers giving their time to assist people on local waterways and offshore.

Based at Tripcony Lane, near Bulcock Beach, our volunteers have extensive local knowledge of the Pumicestone Passage, Caloundra Bar and surrounding coastal waters.

The unit provides marine rescue and assistance services, supports safer boating and maintains a strong connection with the local community.

on 29 September 2026, Coast Guard Caloundra transitioned to Marine Rescue Queensland, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the unit.

As MRQ Caloundra, our volunteers continue the proud legacy built over more than five decades while now forming part of Queensland’s statewide marine rescue service.

Our name and uniform may have changed, but our commitment remains the same – helping keep people safe on the water.
