MRQ Midge Point provides support to local and visiting boaties who need assistance on the water.

We operate from Laguna Quays, supporting the area south of the Whitsunday Islands, out to the southern side of Repulse Bay and as far south as Cape Hillsborough. 

The base maintains a 24/7 radio watch, monitoring VHF Channel 16 but has a launch time of approximately ½ to 1 hour from Laguna Quays Marina. 

MRQ Midge Point operates in partnership with other marine rescue units to provide support to the boating community. If you require support when travelling outside our area, contact MRQ Bowen, MRQ Whitsunday, or MRQ Mackay. 

Remember to always follow the marine safety rules and continue to Log On and Log Off via your local unit or VHF radio.
